Dr. Ederito Paul (Ted) Fachada, 86, of Keene whose life in this realm ended peacefully with family near on .Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene Born on April 6, 1929 in Valley Falls, Rhode Island to the late Ernesto and Julia Fachada. He graduated from St. Raphael’s Academy, Providence College and Temple University School of Podiatry. He married Vera Phillips in 1955. Sadly, she passed in 2001 after forty six year of marriage. She will be remembered as a Registered Nurse at the former Elliot Community Hospital in Keene as well as the Librarian at Fuller School. She was a wonderful wife, mother and eventually a grandmother. He practiced Podiatric Medicine for over forty years in the Keene area. His public service included the city of Keene Board of Health, Keene Senior Center Board of Directors, President of the New Hampshire Podiatric Medical Association and the New Hampshire State Board of Podiatry As a young man in Rhode Island he was known as a talented basketball and baseball player. He earned a tryout with Boston Red Sox. As an adult he embraced public tennis in Keene. He won numerous titles in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Many titles were won with his wife Vera.
